Waitlist Beauty Wanderlust Foundation Powder

Waitlist Beauty Wanderlust Foundation Powder

The initial time I tried the powder foundation, it was far from selling me. The product that other beauty lovers had praised left me high and dry, literally, with makeup that settled on My fine lines almost instantly. As a person with dry skin, I should have known superior, I thought at the time. But when Wander powder foundation from Wander Beauty came into play, I realized that it was so illogical to write powder foundation as something I could never use, like oily skin giving up moisturizer. It’s about finding the right formulas that are well suited to your skin type. And Wander powder foundation does exactly that for me.

After being sold out in stores for months (and having a waiting list of over 6,000 enthusiastic customer), I decided to give the foundation a whirl to see what all the fuss was about. In terms of packaging, I’m a fan. Like most compacts, this one also comes with a plastic partition that protects the dust on one side and retains the included Rubicell antimicrobial sponge on the other. The compact is lightweight, easy to carry and fits well in my everyday bag.

The formulation of this product is unlike any other primer I have used before, liquid or powder. Like my liquid foundation, it softens my skin and offer a blurry, airbrushed finish. But unlike the other powder foundations I’ve tried, it doesn’t look chalky or settle on My lines (many of which live around the nose and mouth). You can trim or accumulate depending on how the Wander powder foundation is applied (sponge vs. brush) and the strength of the pressure. Despite its smooth matte finish, it does not emphasize the dry areas of my skin. Also, I don’t feel the need to correct my redness before applying it (a step I usually do before foundation). Two or three layers of this powder balance my complexion beautifully and it continues to feel weightless on my face despite its full coverage.

In addition to its beauty, this foundation offer a long list of skin care benefits: it plumps and moisturizes with hyaluronic acid, strengthens the skin barrier with allantoin and protects against free radical damage with vitamin E. I find that the longer I use it, the more beautiful the foundation looks, perhaps due to the fact that it is powered by liposome technology, which encapsulates the mixture of active ingredients and makes it penetrate the skin superior (and for longer). It is also incredibly versatile: for those who prefer liquid foundation, dusting Wander powder adds extra coverage as the last step of a makeup. If you have oily skin, this product is a wonderful mattifying powder for touch-ups. It can also be used as a natural-looking daily complexion balancer.

It has easily become my new base for everyday use. I like the fact that the Compact is equipped with a sponge and a mirror for easy application on the go. In addition, it continues smoothly, offering flawless coverage without overdoing my lines and offering skincare benefits that protect against dry skin during the transition from winter to spring.
